“Do not say anything except the lines.”
Explanations give way to bodies, glances and pauses. Then comes another thought: the words are too restrictive. Time to try again.
WE CANNOT BE PUT BACK TOGETHER is a short film newly edited from Human Surrender rehearsal and filming materials. It moves through discussion, performance, stopping and starting over. The performed relationships are not presented as accounts of the actors’ private lives.
