AUDIO-EDIT DISCLOSURE
This is an audio-edited archival access proxy, not an unedited or complete audiovisual record.
The original on-site recording was identified as containing “Requiem” by Geinoh Yamashirogumi from 00:01:14 to 00:07:44. The present release package contains no verifiable online synchronization or master-use clearance for that recording.
For this proxy, the soundtrack is intentionally muted from 00:01:09 through 00:07:54, with two-second crossfades at the edit boundaries. The camera captured a single mixed track; therefore, this mute removes not only the identified music but also every live speech fragment, participant or audience reaction, movement, material sound, and room ambience recorded during that interval. The picture, shot sequence, timing, and total running time are retained without shortening. No replacement music, reconstructed dialogue, AI-generated sound, or AI narration has been added.
The unedited archival master, including the original mixed soundtrack, remains preserved privately. The mute in this proxy must not be understood to mean that the original performance was silent.
WORK
VORTEX (working English title)
Creator: Beifeng Theatre
Recorded performance: 12 March 2022, Beijing, China
Running time: 01:06:21
Record type: surviving continuous camera record with a disclosed audio deletion
ARCHIVAL BOUNDARY
This record joins the earliest surviving iPhone coverage to three subsequent DJI camera segments. The earliest surviving image finds the action already under way, and the last surviving segment ends inside the active performance space. It preserves the surviving continuous picture record currently identified in the archive, subject to the disclosed audio deletion. It claims neither the work’s absolute opening nor its absolute ending and is not presented as a full, complete, unabridged, or original-sound performance record.
ABOUT THE WORK
VORTEX emerged from approximately one month of collective creation. Bodies, loose pages, colored light, exposed speech, and the collapse of the performer-spectator boundary turn the room into an unstable event. The camera is not outside that event; it becomes another body caught inside it.
